lool needs your help!!!!

Remember when you first heard Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl and you thought "yeah, not bad I guess." And then you heard lool's remix and you not only thought, but actually said out loud, "holy, that shizznit is offa tha hook!" If I recall correctly, it became the dance hit of the summer. And I always recall things correctly. And let's not even talk about the mass hysteria that would have ensued had lool seen fit to release the "remix" of Kelis' "Milkshake". There would have been panic, looting, and spontaneous dance parties breaking out in the streets of the nation's cities. Too hot for the internet!

Now is the time to show your appreciation by giving back. lool has recently become infatuated with the new Black Eyed Peas single "My Humps". Have you heard it?!? It's awesome, it's terrible, it's goofy, it's sexy. Oooh baby. You better believe lool is love drunk off your rump.

The problem: all attempts at tracking down an acapella version of the song have been unsuccessful. And as a struggling artist, lool is unable to pay $15 plus shipping for one song on Vinyl (while my love for vinyl is all encompassing, it's a format with which lool cannot work; however, a quality transfer from vinyl to digital is acceptible if done on a good turntable without too much wow&flutter), even if that song is the sexiest bit of music to come out in the last three months. That's where you come in. Can you help track down an mp3 of the vocal only track for this song? You would be rewarded for efforts with an autographed CD-R containing the My Humps remix, the Hollaback Girl remix, and for kicks, I'll even throw Milkshake on there too (just don't play it for a large crowd of people, or full scale making out will ensue.)

You can e-mail the mp3, or a link to an mp3, or a you-send-it address to:

i_am_lool (at) hotmail.com

Thank you!

lool is a symbiotic relationship between myself and my computer, who I pretend is a sentient being. Yep, it's the nerdiest thing ever. With Sexy Results.

The problem is, the computer part is property of the Canadian Government and hence is not allowed to have any filesharing/P2P software installed. Boo. Hence the appeal to fans to help find the required file.

lool is still working on it. The music part is almost done, believe it or not. Lyrics are giving lool trouble. lool should stop referring to lool in the third person. lool is not Bob Dole dammit.

I would have thought that the confusing part was why I like that stupid Black Eyed Peas song in the first place.

But the confusion doesn't end with me having a symbiotic relationship with myself via anthropomorphising my computer that doesn't belong to me but indirectly does belong to me and the rest of the country (I put the po-mo in anthropomorphic!).

See, as a government employee, I technically also work for Her Majesty the Queen of England. There are technical papers with my name on them, but does it say Copyright Evil Roderick Boy?

Hell no. It says Copyright Her Majesty The Queen as represented by the Minister of Some Such Deparment. I wonder if that means that Queen Liz gets to collect any royalties on any music that lool makes.

Hah. As if I'd be able to make any money off of music to begin with.

THat photo Lou finds alarming is something I call "Roderick-rockstar-sexy-hot", which is what you become when you step on stage. In life we create characters. Yours only seem to emerge when you have an electronic device with musical capabilities in front of your crotch.

Why not emerge this hip, sleek, daring, ALARMING, and swank characterisation into the work place? Her Majesty the Quess looks like she need some action. You might earn some Property Rights too.

Oh don't worry, I make plenty of people uncomfortable at work. And confused too.

"Rod, your attire is distracting your coworkers. Please dress a little more conservatively."

"But sir, I thought business casual was acceptable."

"That's not bus...oh. Holy crap, it is business casual. Damn, those button down shirts and pleated pants look FINE on you, boy!"*

As for trying to get some hot action with the Queen, I'll leave that to the expert.

*dramatization. Did not really occur.
